Description

Encephalomyelitis Vaccine Eastern and Western, Killed Virus, Tetanus Toxoid. Cephalovac EWT contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives.

Advantages

Cephalovac EWT is a killed virus vaccine that protects against Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis and tetanus.


Dosage & Administration

Using aseptic technique inject 2 mL IM. For primary vaccination administer a second 2 mL dose in 4 to 6 weeks using a different injection site. Revaccinate annually and prior to anticipated exposure, using a single 2 mL dose. Use a separate, sterile 11/2 inch needle for each injection.


Precautions

Store out of direct sunlight at 35∞ - 45∞ F (2∞ - 7∞ C). Shake well. Protect from freezing. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur following use.

Antidote: Epinephrine.


Uses

Cephalovac EWT is recommended for vaccination of all types and ages of healthy horses against Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis and tetanus.


Warning

This product has been tested under laboratory conditions and shown to meet all Federal standards for safety and efficacy in normal healthy animals. This level of performance may be affected by conditions such as stress, weather, nutrition, disease, parasitism, other treatments, individual idiosyncrasies or impaired immunological competency. These factors should be considered by the user when evaluating product performance or freedom from reactions.
