Bordetella bronchi-septica toxin antibodies may stop the problem before Pasteurella gets a foothold. Bacterin-toxoid means that the vaccine contains not only the bacteria itself, but also a toxoid that helps the pig generate antibodies to neutralize the toxin produced by both Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella multocida Type A&D.
Advantages
Ingelvac AR4 is the only dual-toxoid atrophic rhinitis product available. Low volume 1 mL pig dose. Flexible administration. Dosage & Administration Sows and Gilts: Using aseptic technique, inject 2 mL intramuscularly 5 weeks prior to farrowing. Repeat with a second 2 mL dose 2 to 3 weeks prior to farrowing. Administer one 2 mL dose 2 to 3 weeks prior to each subsequent farrowing. Pigs: Using aseptic technique, vaccinate intramuscularly or subcutaneously with 1 mL prior to weaning. Recommended revaccination of pigs is 2 to 3 weeks later.
Precautions
Store out of direct sunlight at a temperature not over 45°F (7°C). Avoid freezing. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur.

Uses
Ingelvac AR4 is recommended for the vaccination of healthy, susceptible swine against atrophic rhinitis caused by toxigenic Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella multocida toxigenic Type A&D. Protection in the piglet is provided by the maternal antibodies in colostrum. Therefore, piglets should receive colostrum from the vaccinated sow as soon as possible after birth. Vaccination of the piglet is also necessary for active immunity.
Warning
Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
